My name is John Blancuzzi. I am director of IT Systems and Development at Cupid Foundations, a women’s intimate apparel manufacturer located in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Recently I needed a local computer support technician in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

Our company can provide computer support to our outside sales people by using remote control software, but there are certain times when we need to have someone with “feet on the ground” experience. In this case, I needed someone who could physically handle hardware and work directly with our people.

One of our sales staff, who works out of a home office in Fort Lee, NJ, needed a wireless network set up and configured. Our support group attempted to help her via phone, but having to deal with a Verizon DSL modem, a Linksys router, and an HP wireless printer meant that she would be doing a computer technician’s job, which is not her specialty.

This situation clearly required an outside resource. I searched Google for computer support in Fort Lee and found Heliotropic Systems.

I spoke with Larry Kahm, president of the company, and explained our situation. The response I got was very positive. Larry told me he would be more than willing to help and would contact the sales person immediately.

I called him on a Friday morning. He then reached out to our sales person and set up an appointment for the following Monday afternoon.

Larry called the day after to let me know that everything had been set up to the sales person’s satisfaction. He acknowledged that the work could not have been done over the phone.

I was very pleased with how quickly Larry responded to my request. I now know our organization has a local resource in Bergen County that can provide professional, high-quality, hands-on computer support to our staff.
